By creating a Mahaseel account, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully — they protect both farmers and buyers from fraud and misuse.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Mahaseel app ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the App.
These Terms apply to both farmers and buyers ("users") who register on Mahaseel.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 16 years old to use Mahaseel.
- You must provide accurate and truthful information when creating your account.
- One person may hold only one Mahaseel account.
3. Farmer Obligations
If you use Mahaseel as a farmer to list and sell produce, you agree to:
3.1 Honest Listings
- List only real products that you have available or can supply.
- Provide accurate descriptions, quantities, units, and prices. Do not use misleading photos or inflate available quantities.
- Clearly indicate whether produce is organic, seasonal, or has any special conditions.
- Keep your inventory up to date. Remove or reduce quantity when stock is low.
3.2 Order Fulfillment
- When you accept or confirm an order, you are committing to fulfill it.
- Do not accept orders you do not intend to fulfill. Repeated order cancellations without valid reason may result in account suspension.
- Deliver the product as described — correct quantity, correct item, appropriate freshness.
- Communicate proactively with buyers if there is a delay or issue with their order.
3.3 Prohibited Conduct
- Do not list products you do not have ("ghost listings") to appear more prominent on the platform.
- Do not set artificially high prices and then offer secret discounts off-platform to circumvent Mahaseel.
- Do not use fake reviews or manipulate your rating.
4. Buyer Obligations
If you use Mahaseel as a buyer, you agree to:
4.1 Good-Faith Orders
- Place orders only when you genuinely intend to purchase and receive the product.
- Do not place test orders, prank orders, or orders with no intention of completing the purchase.
- Provide a real, reachable delivery address and a valid phone number with every order.
4.2 Receiving Orders
- Be available to receive your order at the delivery address and time agreed with the farmer.
- If you need to cancel, do so as early as possible — after a farmer has prepared your order, last-minute cancellations cause direct financial harm.
4.3 Prohibited Conduct
- Do not provide false delivery addresses that result in failed deliveries and wasted produce.
- Do not abuse the messaging system to harass farmers.
- Do not attempt to take transactions off the platform to avoid accountability.
5. Prohibited Activities (All Users)
The following are prohibited for all users:
- Creating fake accounts or impersonating another person or business.
- Posting spam, advertising unrelated products, or sending unsolicited messages.
- Using the App for any illegal activity, including selling prohibited substances or counterfeit goods.
- Attempting to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the App or its servers.
- Posting offensive, discriminatory, or harmful content.
6. AI Disease Scanner — Disclaimer
The crop disease scanner is powered by a machine learning model. It is provided for educational and guidance purposes only. Mahaseel makes no warranties about the accuracy of disease detection results. The model may produce incorrect diagnoses. Do not apply pesticides or treatments based solely on scanner results without consulting a qualified agronomist. Mahaseel is not responsible for any crop damage, financial loss, or health issues arising from reliance on scanner results.
7. Payments & Transactions
Mahaseel currently facilitates order placement between farmers and buyers. Payment arrangements (cash on delivery, bank transfer, etc.) are agreed directly between the farmer and buyer. Mahaseel is not a payment processor and is not responsible for payment disputes between users.
8. Content You Post
By posting product listings, photos, reviews, or messages on Mahaseel, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content within the App. You remain the owner of your content. You are responsible for ensuring that any photos or descriptions you post do not infringe third-party rights.
9. Account Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or permanently ban your account if you:
- Violate any of these Terms
- Engage in fraud, deception, or abuse of the platform
- Receive repeated verified complaints from other users
- Repeatedly place or accept orders in bad faith

10. Limitation of Liability
Mahaseel provides a platform to connect farmers and buyers. We are not a party to the transactions between users and are not liable for:
- The quality, safety, or legality of any product listed on the platform
- Failed deliveries caused by incorrect addresses provided by buyers
- Financial losses caused by order cancellations by either party
- Crop damage or losses based on AI disease scanner results
- Any indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the App
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you via the App when significant changes are made. Continued use of Mahaseel after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Palestine. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If unresolved, disputes may be brought before the relevant courts in Palestine.
